Meet Dr. Lauren E. Lunday

Dr. Lauren Lunday is an Oklahoma native who obtained her undergraduate and D.D.S. degrees from the University of Oklahoma. Focusing on oral and maxillofacial surgery, she completed a surgical internship at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Medical Center, followed by a residency at Nova Southeastern University/Broward Health Medical Center/Memorial Regional Hospital System. 

At Nova Southeastern University, she was chief resident, awarded the distinguished honor “Resident of the Year, 2016” by her colleagues, served as the ROAAOMS liaison and was selected to the resident house staff of Broward Health Medical Center.  She also was a recipient for the AAOMS scholarship for Resident Education and the Phillip J. Boyne Memorial Scholarship supported by Geistlich Biomaterials.

Dr. Lunday was privileged to study with renowned surgeons Drs. Steven Kaltman, Anthony Sclar and T.J. Tajera, gaining insight into complex oral surgery cases. Dr. Lunday’s research, “Insurance Status, an Important Predictor of Oral Cancer Surgery” and “Variations in Complications after Oral Cancer Surgery Based on Insurance Status” are nationally published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She presents her research at international, national and state meetings.

When she isn't helping patients regain their confidence and natural appearance, Dr. Lunday enjoys watching OU sports, traveling, practicing Pilates and attending cultural events.
