Meet Dr. Lauren E. Lunday


Dr. Lauren Lunday is an Oklahoma native who obtained her undergraduate and DDS degrees from the University of Oklahoma.  She focused on Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery by completing a surgical internship at the University of Miami,  Jackson Memorial Medical Center, followed by a residency at Nova Southeastern University/Broward Health Medical Center/ Memorial Regional Hospital System.  At Nova Southeastern University, she was Chief Resident, awarded the distinguished honor of “Resident of the Year, 2016” by her colleagues, served as the ROAAOMS liaison, and was selected to the resident house staff of Broward Health Medical Center.  She was a recipient for the AAOMS scholarship for Resident Education and the Phillip J. Boyne Memorial Scholarship supported by Geistlich Biomaterials.

Dr. Lunday was privileged to study with Dr. Steven Kaltman, Dr. Anthony Sclar and Dr. TJ Tajera, renowned surgeons in the field, where she gained insight into complex oral surgery cases.  Dr. Lunday’s research, “Insurance Status, an Important Predictor of Oral Cancer Surgery” and “Variations in Complications after Oral Cancer Surgery Based on Insurance Status” are nationally published in the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.  She presents her research at international, national and state meetings.

Dr. Lunday has returned to Oklahoma to practice.  She enjoys OU sports, traveling, Pilates, and attending cultural events.
